Sophia our waitress was amazing. The staff was attentive and a few times anticipated our needs, which was impressive. We had the burrata appetizer, side dish of carrots, and for entree had the tortellini with ox tail (no bone) and liguini vongole (clams). The pistachio dessert was creatively authentic and reminded us of Firenze, Italy. This was our first time at Fiorentini, yet Sophia took care of us and made us feel as though we were her regulars. If you’re anywhere near Rutherford and haven’t been to Fiorentini yet, you’re seriously missing out. This is not your typical Italian spot, it’s a seasonal, farm-to-table experience that brings elegance, comfort, and bold flavors together in one stunning, wood-wrapped space. Fiorentini is the passion project of Chef Antonio De Ieso, who brings his Southern Italian roots to New Jersey with a modern, elevated twist. The menu changes every quarter to reflect local harvests and small-farm partnerships, and the care in every dish shows. It’s a single-page menu. Confident, focused, and intentional. Honestly, that’s all it needs. The atmosphere alone is worth the trip. Beautiful wooden interior, open concept, warm lighting, it feels like you’ve stepped into a rustic Italian villa that just happens to know great design. It’s the kind of place you could bring a date, your parents, or just yourself when you need to feel taken care of. Now, let’s talk food. We started with the house bread and flaxseed crackers. That bread? Perfection. Golden crust, soft interior, exactly how it should be. The crackers added a unique, nutty flavor that made even the olive oil taste elevated. Next came the burrata with prosciutto and lemon sauce. The cheese was rich, the prosciutto soft and smoky, but the lemon sauce? That’s what brought it all together. Bright, zesty, and honestly kind of genius. The lobster rolls felt like what would happen if a New England classic spent a summer in Manhattan. Refined, fresh, and full of flavor. For mains, the spinach gnocchi with peas and bacon was absolute comfort. Soft, delicate pillows of gnocchi that somehow still felt light. Meanwhile, the pork tortelloni was savory and rich, the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes for a second to appreciate what’s happening. And finally, the farm-seared chicken breast. I know chicken doesn’t usually steal the show, but this one absolutely did. Perfectly crisp skin, juicy inside, and the roasted carrots on the side were so good they nearly upstaged the whole plate. One important note — Fiorentini is a dry restaurant. No alcohol. But honestly, the food is so thoughtfully done that you won’t even notice. It gives the whole experience a grounded, intentional feel, and it keeps the focus exactly where it should be: on what’s on your plate. Bottom line? Fiorentini is an absolute must if you appreciate great food, genuine hospitality, and thoughtful atmosphere. It’s seasonal Italian with heart, depth, and just the right amount of flair. Book a table. Thank yourself later.

Been here and tried their brunch once and their dinner another time. The experiences that I had here both times were fantastic! The chef is so good and the staff is very friendly, attentive and accommodating. I do want to try the chef tasting one day because I love that. It really gives the chef their creative freedom to show their talent. It's a BYOB. The restaurant itself is super inviting and you just feel relaxed when you walk in. Great for date night, girls night and brunch. I have recommended this restaurant to several people. Updated 8/29/23 This place is so deserving the recognition that is it receiving. Went here last week to try their summer menu and it was delicious . I really like that the staff is very accommodating and friendly and most of all the food is divine. Chef Antonio is such a skilled craftsman in his food art. Been here a few time and will keep coming back. Updated 5/19/24 Finally had the chance to try the famous Chef Tasting 7 course meal. My flavor palette was extremely happy. Chef Antonio explained each dish and the ingredients. His staff was very attentive. I have never had a bad experience here. His little guy even made a guess appearance at the end of our meal. Totally love that. Everything was cooked perfectly. Nothing was over done or under done. The butter was so good. Looking forward to more of his other seasonal meals.

My wife and I booked the Blind Chef's Tasting at Fiorentini last Thurs evening. Our first time at the restaurant, so we thought we'd swing big! Upon being seated at the counter looking right into the kitchen, we were immediately greeted warmly by a server and then Antonio, chef-owner. As we had hoped, he not only did much of the cooking himself (great team behind him!) but he personally presented and explained each dish. Every single dish (7 or 8?) was a 'wow' - artfully presented, each element thoughtfully contributing to the whole. It's a true farm-to-table place - Chef Antonio told us about the local farm where he sources eggs, for example. What we did not expect was that on a relatively slow night (super-rainy), he personally chatted with us over the entire 3 hour leisurely feast. We talked about the restaurant's growth, his family, menu decisions he makes. And, since we happen to be planning travel to Italy in the Fall, including Firenze, as a 'Fiorentini' Chef Antonio was excited to share some thoughts about where we should eat! This was truly one of the very best foodie-experiences we've ever had! Bravo!

My wife and I are constantly looking for a great restaurant for our date night. It’s become increasingly difficult to find one with excellent food, service and pricing.. But let me tell you, Fiorentini has it all! We had an amazing time, it’s beautiful inside and the food was top notch. We enjoyed every dish from shareable appetizers to the main entree’s and desert. We can’t wait to go back.

Very beautiful restaurant in an exquisite little town! Main course and appetizer were excellent! Unfortunately for Nj country rules they can’t sell alcohol but in front of the restaurant there is a wine store or customers can bring their own booze. We will go back to try the summer menu! Highly recommended

Outstanding! This was my first time at Fiorentini Restaurant and it exceeded expectations. The food was excellent, both flavor and presentation. We enjoyed appetizers of calamari, as well as a burrata platter. I recommend the lamb saddle and ricotta tortelloni. The overall experience was excellent! I will definitely return for the summer menu.
